In 2000, I gave birth to my son. That day, I just went in for a routine exam and ended up with a beautiful Angel who I knew would be a special hero to me. When he was 3 years old, he was diagnosed with a cognitive disability as a result of being on the Autism Spectrum. My husband and I educated ourselves on this for the next 20 years and are proud to say that with the support & a lot of love, our son has reached so many milestones. Devon graduated from High School, culinary school all while working 2 jobs. Devon and his passion with his mom on YouTube, inspired our first children’s book to feature him as the main character and thus The Baker Series was born. This series will have 5 books and his friends who are real characters with Autism including myself as a character with dyslexia. Our mission is to advocate for the many talents of children and adults on the Autism Spectrum.
How it all began…
We are all The Baker Series. Baker, our son Devon, is the main character along with all his real-life friends.
